The book is a collection of stories, each as unique as the person telling them.
Throughout the sessions, each participant will have the opportunity to create a book about themselves and their experience of immigration, exploring various techniques such as photography, collage, maps, writing and audio recordings, amongst others.
The teatro meia volta e depois à esquerda quando eu disser is a platform dedicated to the production, creation and curation of the performing arts, which seeks to reclaim collective spaces for dialogue, enabling us to respond to the complexities of the world in which we live.
In this project, we aim to reflect on the reality of immigration in Portugal, drawing on personal experiences. To this end, we have developed this workshop for immigrants, which will take place in municipal libraries – inclusive spaces where people can relax, freely access information, exchange ideas and imagine futures together.
To this end, we have also invited Oficina do Cego, which carries out creative work in self-publishing and the hand-binding of books.
