Sesimbra

TERRITORY AND COMMUNITY

The municipality of Sesimbra is located in the southwest of Peninsula de Setúbal and has an area of 195 km2. It is limited to the north by the municipalities of Almada and Seixal, to the northeast by Barreiro, to the east by Setúbal and to the south and west by the Atlantic Ocean. Its coastline, with multiple landscapes, extends from Lagoa de Albufeira to Serra da Arrábida.

Sesimbra has many diverse landscapes, from the mountains to the beach, the coast having the shape of a cliff, the difficulty of access to the interior, with exceptions that provide small anchorages corresponding to valleys and gorges with steep slopes.
