ODISSEIA: Documentary short Amor e Ira opens in Moita

The ODISSEIA project is about to unveil the outcome of another of its training sessions Do Filme à Música, which was held in the municipality of Moita in the last two weeks under the coordination of musician and filmmaker António-Pedro and produced by Caótica. The documentary short Amor e Ira (lit. Love and Anger) will screen on January 27 at 4 pm, at the Centro de Experimentação Artística (CEA).

Amor e Ira
was shot in Vale da Amoreira, a place where there are those who take the bus at 4.40am to go to work in Lisbon, those who plan to live in Lisbon or in Denmark one day, those who ride horses, those who dream to become a cook or a dancer, people from India and from Trás-os-Montes, those who plant sugar cane, those who keep playing while the cops stop others, those who have found better living conditions and those who want to leave but only with the entire family by their side.

For two weeks, 15 teenagers from Vale da Amoreira immersed themselves in their neighborhood, in themselves and in their families and the result is this documentary, which is also the second of six short-films produced in the framework of the ODISSEIA project. The first one, Vida por Vida, was shot during the workshop in Sesimbra. It premiered last November at Cineteatro Municipal João Mota.

Four other short-films will be produced until next July in Almada, Barreiro, Oeiras and Santarém. The six productions, one per municipality, will then be combined in one single feature entitled Curtas Migratórias, which will premiere in the second half of 2018.
