Exerceu fun\u00e7\u00f5es de animador e programador cultural na Casa de Cultura da Juventude da Guarda\/FAOJ (1979-1989) e na C\u00e2mara Municipal da Guarda (1989-2005), tendo sido Diretor do Teatro Municipal da Guarda (2005-2013) e Coordenador da Biblioteca Municipal Eduardo Louren\u00e7o (2015-2018). Foi um dos fundadores do coletivo Aquilo Teatro, da Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Luzlinar e do Calafrio, Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Cultural \/ Teatro do CalaFrio. Coordenou os cadernos de poesia Aquilo (1982-1997) e foi co-director da revista Boca de Inc\u00eandio (2004-2006), entre outras publica\u00e7\u00f5es.
