is a small-scale cooperation project co-financed by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, to be undertaken between October 2023 and December 2025 and implemented by four partners: Valley of Arts (Hungary) – leader; Artemrede (Portugal), ArtLink (Serbia), and HÉTFA Research Institute (Hungary).


It aims to respond to changes in audience behavior and expectations by reinterpreting the interrelationship between the players in the creative value chain, in order to unleash innovation in the field of audience development and promote new and more efficient cooperation models. The title P³ comes from the project's three target groups - creators, co-producers/organizers and audiences.

The Project’s goals are achieved through experimenting with audience-centric productions in different contexts, and enhancing know-how transfer between countries in the field of audience engagement. The project activities are backed by research and evaluation, producing exploitable long-term results for the wider CCS.

Artemrede seeks to co-produce new performing arts work that considers audiences at the center of its creation and fruition process. It should be made by artists/collectives/companies willing to reflect, share experiences, investigate and experiment with innovative models of cooperation.

When applying for this call, candidates submit an artistic proposal for a project to be developed in Portugal and presented in their home country as a work in progress with the aim of gathering input from audiences, and then presented as a finished production in Hungary. Applicants commit to participating in a Co-Creation Lab and cooperating in the research aspect of P3 - including a discussion group to be conducted by the local co-producer/host partner after the first production period, providing information on the creative process whenever necessary.

Artistic domain: contemporary performing arts (theater, dance and hybrid languages). The integration of musicians (classical/erudite music, jazz, world music or contemporary sound expressions) is encouraged.

Final production: the project shall take the form of a performance, between 1h and 48h in length (original formats are incentivised), thought for a stage venue, unconventional setting, or outdoors space (technical constraints apply and should be validated together with the hosting partner throughout the creative process).

Profile: individual professional artists or collectives/groups of artists or companies preferably with a maximum of 3 people in co-creation/leadership. Priority is given to emerging artists (+ 18 years old) with at least three years of relevant artistic activity.

Co-production fee: €18,400 gross (including taxes or VAT, if charged). The amount indicated refers to the total budget available, including all creative and logistical production costs arising from the research and creation processes, performances (except the transnational tour in Hungary, as per point 5. above) and other expenses that may be necessary for the successful reception of the show.
