Porto-based company Radar 360º is joining the second phase of the ODISSEIA project with a street arts performance entitled Histórias em Viagem. This is also Artemrede’s first coproduction of 2017. Histórias em Viagem is scheduled to open in April, in Oeiras. Radar 360º’s artistic directors Julieta Rodrigues and António Oliveira are already involved in a series of preparatory encounters with potential young participants (between 15 and 26-year-old) from the municipalities of Oeiras, Moita, Barreiro, Santarém, Almada and Sesimbra. As in happened in ODISSEIA’s first phase when Rui Catalão directed E Agora Nós (2016), the goal is to provide young participants with artistic skills and engage them in the creation of a performance, which, afterwards, will be hit other municipalities from Artemrede. The dates and locals of the encounters are: Jan 12 – 15 – Outurela, Oeiras Jan 19 – 22 – Vale da Amoreria, Moita Jan 26 – 29 – Cidade Sol, Barreiro Feb 9 – 12 – São Domingos, SantarémFeb 16 – 19 – Trafaria, AlmadaFeb 2 – 5 – Quinta do Conde, Sesimbra Later on, the municipality of Oeiras will also host a longer residency to wrap the whole creative process. Now entering its second phase, ODISSEIA is cofinanced by Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, in the framework of PARTIS' second edition, and set up in partnership with Cooperative of social solidarity RUMO in the social follow-up and assessment. After Rui Catalão and Radar 360º in the first two phases of the project, the third phase will count on the presence of filmmaker and musician António-Pedro. ODISSEIA is due to wrap in 2018.
